Dear members of Unifor ACL,
We would like to clarify a very important element on the oicial announcement of the Enhanced
Voluntary Separation Program (VSP) oer that was extended by Bell Canada this morning. More
specifically, on the topic of the:
·One-time retirement oer: package up to 18 months (0.5 months per year of service or CBA
provision if greater) + $16K subsidy for the purchase of benefits after retirement
·One-time VSP oer: package up to 18 months (0.5 months per year of service or CBA provision if
greater)
We want to inform you that we have obtained confirmation from your employer that the phrase “or
Collective Agreement provision if greater” has a very significant meaning for you, our members In
Atlantic.
This phrase is meant to inform you that you will get compensated as a member of Unifor ACL if you
choose to accept the oer at a rate of three (3) weeks per year of service.
Each collective agreement across Canada has similarities and dierences. Yours under UACL has
many advantages, including this one specificity.
Any questions on the details of this oer should be directed firstly to the company, and if you
required any further assistance, please direct your inquires to @email and
we will endeavour to find your answer. Understanding that each individual will have dierences in
the details of their oer, so blanket answers are not applicable in this conversation.
